Dr Grace Lucas, City St George’s, University of London
Areas of interest: Mind/body dualism and its relationship to mental health and wellbeing, concepts of ‘mental’ health’, embodiment and eating disorders
What I’m working on right now: I am interested in how embodied experiences and the lived experience of being in the world relates to people’s mental health. Right now, I am thinking about this in relation to eating disorders.
Where you can find me next: TBC!
Potential for collaboration: I would be interested in speaking to other scholars working on areas including embodiment in relation to mental health and wellbeing, as well as those with a specific interest in eating disorders research. Moving forward, I would like to think about ways of helping people engage with a sense of ‘positive embodiment’ and its potential to improve people’s wellbeing.
